These corporations often have questionable environmental records and are driven by a desire for profit, not a commitment to sustainability. They prioritize profits over people and planet, leaving communities and ecosystems devastated in their wake.

But it doesn't have to be this way. The future of the biomass industry can be one where the environment is put first, and where profits are a byproduct of this commitment. This starts with pushing back against these corporate players and instead supporting community-based renewable energy initiatives.

These initiatives prioritize the needs and input of local communities, ensuring that the benefits of renewable energy stay within the community rather than being siphoned off by large corporations. Such initiatives prioritize sustainability and environmental health, while still being economically viable.

It's time for a shift in the biomass industry, one where profits are not the only end goal. By supporting community-based initiatives and pushing back against corporate greed, we can create a more just and sustainable energy future.
