In my opinion, a society with a low level of trust is not able to maintain a healthy authority structure in a democracy. Trust is a crucial element in any democratic society, as it allows citizens to feel confident in their government's ability to act in their best interests.

When there is a lack of trust among citizens, it can lead to a breakdown in communication and cooperation between the government and its people. This can result in a government that is seen as unresponsive or even hostile to the needs and wants of its citizens.

In addition, a lack of trust can also lead to a lack of transparency and accountability in government. If citizens do not trust their elected officials, they may be less likely to hold them accountable for their actions or to demand transparency in government decision-making.

Furthermore, a low level of trust can also undermine the legitimacy of a democratic government.
