Next, a cult classic must have a unique and distinctive personality. Whether it's a bizarre premise, quirky characters, or a distinctive visual style, a cult classic needs to stand out from the crowd in order to capture the hearts and minds of its fans.

Another essential ingredient of a cult classic is a sense of timelessness. The movie must be able to transcend the era in which it was made and be enjoyed by audiences decades later. Basically, we need to be able to watch it and say "Wow, this still slaps!" even if it was made before we were even born.
