This can help the authorities to prevent damage and evacuate people in time.

However, predicting natural disasters is not an exact science and there's still a lot of uncertainty involved. Although we can identify areas that are more vulnerable, we can't say for sure when and how a disaster will occur. Moreover, natural disasters can be caused by unexpected events or patterns that we haven't taken into account, so even the best predictions can fail.

Another challenge is the availability of resources and the political will to invest in such technologies. Mapping technology requires expertise, equipment and data, and not all countries and regions have the means to afford it. Moreover, some authorities may not give priority to natural disaster prevention, either because of short-term interests, corruption or lack of awareness.
