Should moral education be mandatory in schools?

I believe that moral education should be mandatory in schools. Although many schools already have programs that instill moral values in students, I feel that it is not emphasized enough and should be made mandatory to ensure that students develop a strong moral compass.

Moral education involves teaching students values such as honesty, responsibility, kindness, respect, and empathy. These values are essential for a child's overall development as they shape their character and influence their behavior. Without a strong foundation in these values, children may struggle with decision-making and may lack compassion towards others, leading to negative outcomes.
