Unfortunately, the role of Native Americans in the creation and shaping of the Constitution is often overlooked or minimized in mainstream narratives. This is despite the fact that Native American nations and individuals played a significant role in shaping the political landscape of the time, and their ideas and contributions were incorporated into the Constitution in various ways.

One example of Native American influence on the Constitution is the concept of federalism. Many Native American nations operated under a system of federalism, in which power was shared between different levels of government. This model of governance was implemented in the United States Constitution, with power divided between the federal and state governments.
