Can individual activism alone make a significant impact on the environment, or is government intervention necessary?
Individual activism can make a big impact on the environment, but it's not always enough. Government intervention is also necessary.
When we talk about individual activism, we mean people doing things to help the environment on their own. For example, using reusable water bottles instead of disposable ones, or biking to school instead of driving.
These are really important things to do! They can reduce the amount of waste we produce, and help lower the amount of pollution in the air.
But there are some things that are too big for individuals to handle on their own. For example, companies that produce a lot of pollution might need to be regulated by the government. That way, they can be held accountable for their impact on the environment.
Governments can also set standards for how much pollution is allowed in the air or water. This helps protect the environment and the people who live in it.
So, individual activism is important, but government intervention is also necessary to make sure we're taking care of our planet.
