Conceptual design influences everything, from the layout of the streets and buildings to the materials used in construction.

Sustainable and inclusive communities can be created through design by incorporating specific principles into the conceptual design phase. These principles can range from the use of renewable energy sources to the inclusion of spaces that encourage community interaction. The following are some examples of how conceptual design can influence sustainability and inclusivity in our cities.

First, the concept of walkability can be incorporated into conceptual design. This means designing communities that are pedestrian-friendly, where people can walk or bike to various destinations.
