Who were the key figures involved in the building of the Great Wall, and how did they make it possible?

Well, as far as I know, there were several key figures involved in the building of the Great Wall of China. One of the most notable figures was Emperor Qin Shi Huang, who first proposed the idea of building the wall in order to defend his empire from nomadic invaders. However, it was not until the Ming Dynasty that the wall was actually fully constructed.

Other key figures involved in the construction of the Great Wall included various generals and military leaders, as well as countless laborers and workers who were conscripted into service. Some historians estimate that as many as one million workers may have been involved in the construction of the wall, which is truly an impressive feat.

As for how they made it possible, it is believed that the wall was built using a variety of materials and techniques. Initially, the wall was built using rammed earth and other locally sourced materials. Later on, bricks and stone were used to build more durable sections of the wall.

In terms of construction techniques, the workers used a variety of methods to transport and assemble the massive stone blocks that make up the wall. Some sections of the wall were built using a technique known as tamped earth, which involves layering earth and compacting it until it becomes as hard as stone.

Despite the challenges involved in building such a massive structure, the workers who built the Great Wall were able to complete the project over the course of several centuries. And while the wall is no longer as important for military defense as it once was, it still stands as an impressive testament to the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the people who built it.
