One of the most significant advantages of using installation art as a way to explore architectural designs is that it allows the designer to experiment with the spatial dimensions of the environment. An installation artist can create an environment that is entirely different from conventional architecture, providing an extraordinary experience to the viewer. They can play with dimensions such as scale, proportion, and perspective. They can also challenge the viewer's perception of space by manipulating architectural elements such as light, form, and color.

Another advantage of using installation art to explore new architectural concepts and designs is that it allows the architect to experiment with materials and construction techniques.
