Are there any famous alchemists throughout history who have had a significant impact on the world?

Hmm, that's a good question. I'm not too sure about famous alchemists, but I do recall hearing about a few that have made some contributions to the world.

One that comes to mind is Nicholas Flamel. He was a French alchemist from the 1300s and 1400s who was rumored to have discovered the Philosopher's Stone, which was said to have the power to turn minerals into gold and give eternal life. Some people even claim that he's still alive.

Another famous alchemist is Paracelsus, who lived during the Renaissance in the 1500s. He was known for his work in medicine and chemistry and was one of the first people to experiment with chemicals and minerals to create medicines.

Then there's also Isaac Newton, who you might know as a famous scientist and mathematician. But he was also a dedicated alchemist and spent a lot of time trying to discover the Philosopher's Stone. Some people speculate that his fascination with alchemy may have even influenced his scientific work.
