How has the US policy towards refugees evolved over the past decade?

In the past ten years, the policy of the United States towards refugees has changed a lot. In the beginning, the United States accepted a lot of refugees from different countries like Iraq and Somalia. But later, the government made it harder for refugees to come to the United States.

In 2017, the government stopped letting people from certain countries come to the United States. These countries were mostly Muslim countries like Iran, Yemen, and Syria. This made it very hard for people from those countries who wanted to come to America to be with their families or start a new life.

However, things have started to change again recently. The new President of the United States, Joe Biden, has said that he wants to make it easier for refugees to come to America again. He has also said that he wants to allow more refugees to come to the United States each year.

This is good news for refugees who have been waiting for a long time to come to America. It means they might finally get a chance to start a new life and be safe from the problems in their home countries.

In the end, the United States has had a complicated history with refugees over the past ten years. But it seems like things might be getting better again with the new President's policies. Hopefully, the United States will continue to welcome refugees from all over the world who need a new home and a safe place to live.
