Some people believe that the only explanation is that extraterrestrials provided the technological assistance necessary to make it all happen. After all, it's not like Egyptians could have just asked Google for help, right?

And let's not forget about the good ol' Mayans. These dudes were pretty advanced for their time and developed complex systems of writing, calendar-making, and a deep understanding of astronomy.
