Were ancient civilizations more technologically advanced than we give them credit for?

From the pyramids of Egypt to the Colosseum in Rome, these structures demonstrate a level of technological expertise that is difficult for us to comprehend. However, whether or not they were more technologically advanced than we give them credit for is a complex and nuanced question.
