Who is responsible for preventing water pollution in our cities?

Well, I think it's the responsibility of everyone to prevent water pollution in our cities. It's important that we all become aware of how our actions impact the environment and take steps to reduce our impact on water quality.

Firstly, I think that local government has a huge role to play in preventing water pollution. They should be implementing regulations that limit the amount and types of pollutants that industries and businesses can release into our waterways. This could include cleaning up polluted areas and issuing fines to companies that are breaking the rules.

However, it's not just up to governments to take action. We as citizens also need to do our part to prevent water pollution. This means being conscious of the waste we generate and finding ways to reduce it, such as using reusable water bottles instead of disposable ones. We should also be careful about what we pour down the drain, as even household products such as cleaning agents can contain harmful chemicals that can pollute our waterways.
