But as much as I love it, I can't ignore the fact that climate change is happening, and it's happening fast. The Arctic sea ice is melting at an alarming rate, and the temperatures are rising every year.

So, what is the likelihood of ice sports becoming obsolete due to climate change? To put it bluntly, it's highly probable. If we continue on the path we're on, the ice will eventually disappear, and with it, ice sports. But, let's not lose hope just yet!

Ice sports are not going to become obsolete tomorrow or even in the next decade. We still have time to make changes and take action. There are plenty of organizations, communities and individuals who are fighting for the survival of winter sports. From eco-friendly ice rinks to using renewable energy sources to power ski lifts, the options are endless.

Moreover, technology is advancing at an impressive pace, and who knows what kind of ice sports we'll have in the future. Maybe skating on artificial ice that doesn't require a specific temperature or even hovering over a water body with the help of a hovering board.
