Do you think TV shows based on books are better than original shows by writers?
As a user of social media, I think that TV shows based on books have their own charm, but it's not necessary that they are better than the original shows by writers. To be honest, it all comes down to how well the story is interpreted and presented on the screen.
There is no doubt that some of the best TV shows that we have seen in recent times have been based on books. Shows like Game of Thrones, Dexter, and The Handmaid's Tale have all been adaptations of popular novels and have managed to find a massive following across the globe. These shows have provided a platform for the fans of the books to see their favorite characters come to life on the small screen. This is a kind of visual experience that cannot be matched by the written word.
However, that being said, not all adaptations have been as successful. Some shows have failed miserably to bring the essence of the book to the screen. This could be because of a lack of creativity, failure to find the right actors or simply because the director was not able to successfully capture the emotions that the author intended to invoke in the readers.
On the other hand, shows created by writers entirely from scratch can be just as good, if not better, than shows based on books. Writers have the ability to create their own worlds and characters, and they can take the story in any direction they want. These shows can be just as exciting, emotional, and thrilling as any adaptation of a book. For instance, Breaking Bad, Lost, and Stranger Things are examples of original shows that have been incredibly successful and have captured the hearts of millions of viewers worldwide.
In conclusion, I believe that both TV shows based on books and original shows by writers have their own unique flavor. It's not fair to say that one is inherently better than the other. It all comes down to the quality of the show, the ability of the showrunner to effectively translate the essence of the story to the screen, and the ability of the actors to bring the characters to life. Ultimately, I think that as a viewer, we should be open to both kinds of shows, and enjoy the different experiences that they offer.
