Has any athlete ever competed in both the Summer and Winter Olympics?

Yes! There have actually been a few athletes who have competed in both the Summer and Winter Olympics. One famous example is a guy named Eddie Eagan. Eddie won a gold medal in boxing at the 1920 Summer Olympics and later went on to win a gold medal in bobsledding at the 1932 Winter Olympics. Another athlete, Jacob Tullin Thams, competed in diving at the 1924 Summer Olympics and later won a bronze medal in ski jumping at the 1928 Winter Olympics. So it is possible for athletes to be really good at more than one sport and compete in both the Summer and Winter Olympics!
