What is the role of the United Nations in international negotiations?

The United Nations is a big group of countries from all around the world. When countries have problems or disagreements with each other, they can go to the United Nations to try to talk it out and find a solution that works for everyone.

One of the main things the United Nations does is help negotiate agreements between countries. This means they try to get different countries to agree on things like trade, environmental protection, and human rights. They also work to bring peace to areas that are experiencing conflicts or wars.

The United Nations has a lot of different groups and committees that work on different areas of negotiation. For example, there is the United Nations Environment Program that works on environmental issues and the United Nations Development Program that works on improving lives and reducing poverty.

The United Nations isn't perfect and sometimes countries don't agree on everything, but it's an important organization for countries to work together and try to find solutions to problems that affect everyone.
