Yes, there are some great success stories that have come from the work of Democracy Watch! They've helped make Canadian politics more open and fair.

One big success was getting rid of secret political donations. Before they started fighting for this, big businesses and unions could give lots of money to political parties without anyone knowing. This meant that those parties might be more likely to do what those businesses and unions wanted instead of what regular people wanted. But Democracy Watch pushed for a new law that would make all political donations public, so now we can see who's giving money to our politicians.

Another success was getting rid of "fake news" in political advertising. Before, politicians could say pretty much whatever they wanted in their ads, even if it wasn't true. Democracy Watch argued that politicians should have to tell the truth in their ads, and the government agreed. Now, any political ad that isn't truthful can be taken down by the advertising standards council.

Finally, Democracy Watch has pushed for stronger ethics rules for politicians. They think that politicians should have to tell us who they're meeting with and why, and make sure that they're not doing anything that would beseen as a conflict of interest. This helps keep our politicians honest and working for us, not for their own personal gain.
