How has Civic Education evolved over the past few decades?

Civic education is all about learning how to be a good citizen and being involved in your community. Over the past few decades, there have been big changes in how we teach civic education.

Before, civic education was mostly focused on learning about government and how laws are made. But now, it's become much more about actively participating in your community and making a difference.

One big change has been the rise of social media. With platforms like Facebook and Twitter, it's easier than ever for people to connect and share their opinions. This has led to a new emphasis on teaching students how to use these tools to make their voices heard and get involved in social issues.

Another change has been the emphasis on community service and volunteering. Many schools now require students to complete a certain number of hours of community service before they can graduate. This helps students learn about the needs of their community and how they can make a difference.
