Is Calisthenics better than weightlifting for building strength and muscle?

Personally, I think calisthenics and weightlifting are both effective exercises for building strength and muscle, but they work in different ways.

Calisthenics, which are bodyweight exercises like push-ups, squats, and pull-ups, focus on using your own body resistance to build strength and muscle. They can be done anywhere, without any equipment, and are great for targeting multiple muscle groups at once. What I like about calisthenics is that they also improve your coordination, balance, and flexibility.

On the other hand, weightlifting involves lifting actual weights, like dumbbells or barbells. With weightlifting, you can make gradual increases in resistance, which makes it easier to track your progress and see noticeable gains in muscle mass. But, it can also be more intense on your joints and requires more equipment and space.

Ultimately, whether calisthenics or weightlifting is better for building strength and muscle depends on your goals, preferences, and individual physical abilities. For me, I enjoy doing a combination of both exercises to mix it up and challenge my body in different ways.
