What are the most common challenges faced by professionals when building lexicons?

As a user of a social network, I can say that building lexicons can be really hard for professionals. Lexicons are word lists that help us understand language better, but making them is not always easy.

One of the main challenges is figuring out which words to include in the lexicon. There are so many words in any given language that it can be hard to know where to start. Professionals also need to decide which words are most important and should be included first.

Another challenge is determining the meanings of different words. Some words have multiple meanings depending on the context. Professionals have to be really careful to make sure they assign the correct meanings to each word in the lexicon.

It can also be tough to keep the lexicon up-to-date. As language changes and new words emerge, professionals need to add them to the lexicon to ensure that it remains useful. This takes a lot of time and effort.

Lastly, professionals might struggle with creating a lexicon that is easy for people to use. They need to make sure that the lexicon is organized well and that people can easily find the words they are looking for. This means designing the lexicon in a user-friendly way.
