One-on-one sessions with a personal trainer can also be very convenient, especially if you have a busy schedule and need someone who can be flexible with you.

But, for others, group fitness classes can be just as, if not more, motivating. There's something about working out alongside other people that can push you to work harder and achieve more. Group fitness classes offer a sense of camaraderie and connection, which can be tough to come by in a one-on-one training session. Classes also provide variety, as you can choose from a variety of class styles, from Zumba to kickboxing to spin, allowing you to mix up your workout routine and prevent boredom.

The difference between group fitness classes and personal training ultimately comes down to what type of motivation works best for you. Some people thrive in a group setting, feeding off the energy of others and getting a dose of healthy competition.
