How has the study of topography and cartography evolved over time?

Over time, the study of topography and cartography has evolved tremendously. With the advent of new technologies and tools being developed for the field, cartographers and topographers have been able to create more accurate maps and visual representations of different landscapes.

Looking back at the history of topography and cartography, we can see that the earliest maps were created as early as 600 BC. These maps were primitive compared to today’s standards, and were usually created to depict local areas or regions.
