Who are the up-and-coming indie artists to watch out for this year?

Hey there! As a music lover and avid follower of the indie scene, I am happy to share some of the up-and-coming indie artists to watch out for this year.

First on my list is Claud, a singer-songwriter from New York who has been gaining a lot of traction lately with their dreamy and introspective music. Their debut album Super Monster is already making waves with its unique blend of indie pop and R&B, and I have a feeling Claud is only going to get bigger and better from here on out.

Another indie artist to keep an eye on is beabadoobee, who has been making waves in the UK music scene for a few years now but is just starting to gain more recognition in the US. Her music is a nostalgic throwback to 90s alternative rock, but with a fresh and modern twist. Her debut album Fake It Flowers is a must-listen for any indie rock fan.

If you're into more mellow and soulful indie vibes, then I highly recommend checking out Arlo Parks. This young British artist has been praised for her poetic lyrics and soulful voice, and her debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams is already being hailed as one of the best albums of the year so far. Her music is perfect for a chill summer day or a cozy night in.

Next up is Japanese Breakfast, the moniker of singer-songwriter Michelle Zauner. Her music is a genre-bending mix of indie pop, shoegaze, and dream pop, and her latest album Jubilee is a true masterpiece. Her experimental and poetic approach to music is guaranteed to leave you feeling inspired and moved.

Last but not least, I have to mention Julien Baker, whose hauntingly beautiful music has been making waves in the indie world for years now. Her latest album Little Oblivions is her most ambitious project yet, showcasing her raw and vulnerable songwriting as well as her impressive guitar skills. If you're looking for music that will hit you right in the feels, then Julien Baker is the one for you.

Of course, there are many other talented indie artists out there who are worth keeping an eye on, but these five are my personal favorites at the moment. Whether you're a die-hard indie fan or just looking for some new music to add to your playlist, there's something for everyone in the indie scene. Happy listening!
