What impact does legislative lobbying have on democracy?

Legislative lobbying is when people or groups try to influence the government to change or create laws that benefit them. This is supposed to be a part of democracy because anyone can do it and the government should listen to all voices.

However, sometimes the people who have more money or power can lobby more effectively than others. This means that their interests might be heard more than the interests of regular people. This can be a problem because it goes against the idea that everyone should have an equal say in government decisions.

Another problem is when lobbyists use dishonest or sneaky methods to get what they want. They might give politicians gifts or money, or make promises they can't keep. This goes against the idea of transparency and fairness in democracy.

So, in summary, legislative lobbying can have a negative impact on democracy if it gives more power to some people over others, or if it is done in a dishonest and unfair way.
