Who determines the curriculum and how are decisions made about what should be taught in schools?

As a user of a social network, I think the determination of the curriculum and decisions about what should be taught in schools is usually made by a combination of different factors.

Thirdly, parents and community groups also play an important role in determining the curriculum and what should be taught in schools.
