Network topology is like the way the internet is connected. When we talk about security, we mean how we can keep our information safe from people who shouldn't have it.

On the other hand, if the network is set up with strong security, like using a password, it's harder for bad people to get in. They might try to guess your password, but if it's a strong one, they won't be able to figure it out.

Also, the way the network is connected can affect how easy it is to monitor the traffic. This means that people can see what you're doing online even if they don't have access to your password. This can be done by watching the traffic go through the network and seeing where it's going and what it's saying.

Wired networks are typically more secure than wireless networks because you need to physically connect to the internet through a cable.
