The question that arises is whether this concept has declined in recent times. In my opinion, the answer is yes, but we should analyze the reasons behind this trend.

However, this has also led to an erosion of trust and integrity. Politicians have shifted their focus towards winning elections and gaining popularity rather than doing what is right for the people they represent. Secondly, the media has played a significant role in shaping public opinion. The media tends to focus on scandalous stories rather than substantive policy debates. This has led to a reduction in the quality of political discourse and the marginalization of issues that truly matter to the public. Thirdly, the growing influence of money in politics has further weakened the concept of virtue. The power of big corporations and interest groups have made it harder for politicians to resist their pressure. This kind of money often comes with strings attached, making it difficult for politicians to act independently.

However, this does not mean that the situation is hopeless. We need to demand more from our politicians and hold them accountable for their actions.
