However, in my opinion, the most controversial art exhibition of all time is definitely the 1972 show, "Theatre and the World". This exhibition was held at the Paris Museum of Modern Art and was organized by the renowned theatre director, Peter Brook.

The exhibition featured a series of performances and installations that challenged the traditional notions of art. For example, one of the exhibits featured a group of performers having sex on stage, while another featured a naked man sitting in a cage with a live tiger.

Needless to say, this exhibition was highly controversial and sparked a lot of debate about what constitutes art. Many conservative groups criticized the exhibition for promoting obscenity and immorality, while others argued that it was an important commentary on social norms and taboos.

Despite the controversy, "Theatre and the World" is now regarded as a groundbreaking exhibition that paved the way for other avant-garde performances and installations.
