In addition, many cities and infrastructures like airports, hospitals, and power grids are situated in coastal areas. This means that the damages caused by these disasters have a greater impact on human lives than before.

To mitigate the effects of climate change, we need to take urgent action to reduce our carbon footprint. We can do this by reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, opting for renewable forms of energy, and promoting sustainable lifestyles. We should also improve our preparedness and response to natural disasters by investing in better infrastructure that can withstand extreme weather conditions.
