When it comes to river boarding, there are a handful of athletes who have achieved legendary status in the sport. These guys (and gals) are the ones that make us mere mortals wonder if they were born with fins instead of feet.

First up on the list of renowned river boarders is the one and only Eric Parker. Known in the community as "E-Park", this dude has been dominating river rapids for over two decades now. His fearless approach to the sport has earned him multiple world championship titles and an army of adoring fans. E-Park is the kind of guy who looks at a raging river and thinks, "Challenge accepted."

If you're looking for someone who truly embodies the term "waterman", look no further than Quim Fontané. This Spanish sensation is the ultimate jack-of-all-trades when it comes to aquatic adventures. In addition to being a world-class river boarder, Quim is also skilled in surfing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. He's even competed in the legendary Molokai 2 Oahu paddleboard race, a grueling 32-mile journey across the open ocean. Basically, if it involves water, Quim is game.

Another shredder who's made a name for himself in the world of river boarding is Sam Drevo. This Oregon native has been exploring rivers all over the world since the late 90s, and has become somewhat of a celebrity in the whitewater community. Sam's unique style and creative approach to the sport have earned him respect from his peers and a loyal following of fans. Plus, his epic beard and trademark knit hat make him pretty hard to miss.

Of course, we can't talk about renowned river boarders without mentioning Hayley Stuart. This badass babe hails from New Zealand and has been crushing it on the river scene for years. Hayley's accomplishments include winning the women's division of the World White Water Championships and setting a new speed record for river boarding down New Zealand's Shotover River. She's also a trained paramedic and has used her skills to help fellow river boarders in need.

Last but certainly not least, we have Tao Berman. This guy is basically a superhero in human form. He's best known for his insane feats on the river, such as dropping a 98-foot waterfall in a kayak and surfing the world's largest standing wave. But Tao's talent doesn't stop there - he's also an accomplished skier, skydiver, and BASE jumper. He's basically the Chuck Norris of extreme sports.
