The plateau region in Asia with the most unique flora and fauna would have to be the Tibetan Plateau. This region is home to a diverse array of plant and animal species which are found nowhere else in the world. Some of the most notable species include the Tibetan antelope, the Tibetan gazelle, and the snow leopard. The plateau is also home to a number of endangered plant species such as the Tibetan wild rose and the Lhasa prenub.

Given the vast array of unique species living in this area, conservation efforts have been put in place to protect them. The Tibetan Plateau is considered one of the most ecologically fragile regions in the world, and as such, conservation efforts are focused on protecting the region's biodiversity.
