With politicians and individuals announcing their political opinions to their social media audience, there is a risk of creating a polarised community where people with opposing views end up attacking each other. But that doesn't mean we should refrain from political advocacy, as it's a fundamental part of the structure of democratic societies.

At the core of political advocacy, ethical considerations should focus on the transparency and truthfulness of the messages shared. Spreading rumors or fake news in the name of political advocacy is not only unethical but also contributes to divisiveness among people.
