Is democracy challenged now more than ever by the politicians running for Elections?

Yes, there are some challenges to democracy that have come up recently, especially when it comes to elections and the politicians who are running for office. It's important to understand that democracy is all about giving people a say in how their government is run, and making sure that everyone's voice is heard. However, sometimes politicians can do things that make it harder for people to participate in democracy. These kinds of actions can make it harder for people to trust their government and feel like their voices are being heard.

So, while democracy is not necessarily threatened as a concept, there are definitely challenges that need to be addressed in order to make sure that everyone can participate fully in the democratic process.
