Another underrated food destination is Peru. Peruvian cuisine is a fusion of indigenous, European, and Asian flavors, which makes for a unique culinary experience. One of their most famous dishes is ceviche, which is raw fish marinated in citrus juice and spices, and is incredibly fresh and flavorful. They also have dishes like lomo saltado (a stir-fry with beef, onions, and tomatoes) and causa (a layered potato dish with various fillings).

Japan is often praised for its sushi and ramen, but its other culinary offerings are often overlooked.
