How does the foreign policy of certain countries affect their human rights and civil liberties?

The way a country treats people who live there is very important. Some countries have rules called human rights that they agree to follow to treat everyone fairly. These rights often include things like freedom of speech, the right to vote, and the right to a fair trial.

But sometimes, a country's leaders don't follow these rules, and they might do things that harm their people's rights and freedoms. This is where foreign policy comes in. Foreign policy is like a country's plan for how it will act with other countries and people around the world.

When a country decides its foreign policy, it could do things that help or hurt human rights and civil liberties. For example, if a country only cares about making money and doesn't care about its people's rights, it might make deals with other countries that hurt its own people.
