Who are the top 5 metal bands of all time?

As a music enthusiast and a fan of the heavy metal genre, I would have to say that this question is quite a tough one to answer. There have been countless metal bands that have made a significant impact on the music industry, each with their unique sound and style. However, I'm up for the challenge, and I'll do my best to narrow down the top 5 metal bands of all time in my opinion.

1. Black Sabbath: No doubt, this band is one of the pioneers of the heavy metal genre, and therefore, they deserve to be at the top of the list. They paved the way for countless bands to come after them and created a unique sound that wasn't heard before. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1970, is considered a classic and features hits such as "Paranoid" and "Iron Man". The band's overall sound is characterized by the heavy use of distorted guitars, deep basslines, and dark lyrics.

2. Iron Maiden: This British band has been around since the late 1970s and is known for its epic songs featuring storytelling lyrics and intricate guitar solos. They have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have a dedicated fan base all over the world. Their mascot, Eddie, is iconic and often featured on their album covers.
