What are some of the biggest obstacles that aspiring writers face, and how can they overcome them?

As an aspiring writer myself, I can definitely speak to some of the biggest obstacles that we face. Firstly, it can be hard to find the time to write when balancing a full-time job or other responsibilities. Writing can often be seen as a hobby or side pursuit, but in reality it requires a lot of time and dedication to make progress. One way to overcome this hurdle is to schedule dedicated writing time into your calendar, whether that be early in the morning, late at night, or on the weekends. It's important to treat your writing like a priority and not something that can be pushed aside.

Another challenge that aspiring writers face is finding their voice and developing their own unique style. It can be easy to compare ourselves to other successful writers and feel like we will never measure up. However, it's important to remember that every writer has their own journey and it's okay to take time to find your own voice. One piece of advice I often hear is to write what you enjoy reading and to trust your instincts.

Criticism and rejection can also be major obstacles for aspiring writers. It's difficult to put your work out there and receive negative feedback or no response at all.
