As an expert in the punk genre, I can confidently say that there are quite a few rising stars that fans should definitely keep an eye on. While punk music may not have the mainstream popularity it once had, there are still many talented musicians and bands that are pushing the boundaries of the genre and earning recognition for their work.

One band that comes to mind is Idles. This Bristol-based group has been gaining traction in recent years thanks to their unapologetically political lyrics and raucous live shows. Their 2018 album "Joy as an Act of Resistance" received critical acclaim and helped catapult them to the forefront of the punk scene. With a new album, "Ultra Mono," set to be released in September 2020, they are poised for even greater success.

Another rising star in the punk genre is Fontaines D.C. Hailing from Dublin, this band has been making waves with their uniquely Irish take on punk rock.
