Can we draw comparisons between the Persian War and current geopolitical situations, such as the tensions between the US and Iran?

So, can we compare these two situations? Sort of, but not exactly.

In the Persian War, it was two different groups of people who were fighting over land and power. In the situation with the US and Iran, it's more about political disagreements and trust issues.
