During the Persian War, there were certainly significant differences in warfare strategies and technologies compared to other conflicts in modern and contemporary history. The Persian War took place around 2500 years ago, during a time when the weaponry and tactics used in warfare were far less advanced than they are today. Despite this, the Persian War saw some groundbreaking developments, particularly in the field of naval warfare.

One of the most notable differences between the Persian War and other conflicts is the use of triremes. These were powerful warships with three banks of oars that could ram opposing vessels with great force. The triremes were integral to the Greek strategy in the Battle of Salamis, which was a decisive victory for the Greeks. In modern times, naval warfare has evolved immensely, with major advancements like the creation of aircraft carriers, ballistic missile submarines, and sonar technologies.

Another major difference between the Persian War and contemporary conflicts is the reliance on infantry. During the Persian War, infantry played a much larger role than cavalry, and warriors fought primarily with spears, shields, and short swords.
