Can mysticism be considered a legitimate spiritual practice?

In my own experience, I have found that mysticism can indeed be a legitimate spiritual practice, offering a profound sense of connection to the divine and a deepening of my understanding of the world around me. Whether or not others agree with this is up to them, but for me personally, mysticism has been a transformative and meaningful spiritual practice.
