How safe are our passwords and how can we improve their security?

Well, to be honest, I don't feel too safe about my passwords. I know I am guilty of reusing the same password across multiple platforms and I know that's not the safest option. But with so many websites and apps, it becomes overwhelming to have a unique password for each one.

One thing that I have started doing is using a password manager. This has made my life so much easier because I only have to remember one strong password instead of many weak ones. Additionally, I can easily generate unique passwords for each platform I use. I just have to remember my password manager's password, and that's it.

Another thing that I have started doing is enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) wherever possible. This adds an extra layer of security because it requires a second factor, such as a code sent to your phone, to access your account. It may be slightly inconvenient at times, but I think the added security is worth it.

It's also important to regularly change your passwords and not use easily guessable information like your name or birthdate. I try to make my passwords a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.

Lastly, it's important to be cautious of phishing attempts. You should never click on links or download attachments from unknown sources because they could be malicious and steal your password.

Overall, I think there are steps we can take to improve the security of our passwords. Using a password manager, enabling 2FA, regularly changing passwords, and being cautious of phishing attempts are all good practices to follow. And, of course, not reusing passwords across multiple platforms is a must.
