Can monism be used to explain the origins of the universe and its ongoing expansion?

Monism is a type of philosophy that says everything that exists is made out of one fundamental substance. Some people believe that monism can be used to explain the origins of the universe and its ongoing expansion.

According to this theory, the universe started as just one substance and then slowly expanded into everything we see today. This substance has been called many different things by different people throughout history. Some people call it energy, others call it matter, and some call it consciousness.

One thing that all monists agree on is that everything in the universe is connected to everything else. This means that even you and I, and the things we see around us, are all connected to this one fundamental substance.

Scientists are still exploring this theory and trying to prove it, but it is a very interesting idea to think about. If everything in the universe is really just one substance, then what does that mean for us and the world around us? Does it change the way we think about ourselves and our place in the universe?
