"The Easter Island statues are big and they have faces. They were made a really long time ago by the people who lived on the island. The statues are important because they tell us about the history of the people who lived on Easter Island a long time ago.

The people who made the statues didn't have machines like we do now. They had to use rocks and tools to carve the statues. It was really hard work!

Some people think that the statues were made to honor the ancestors of the people who lived on the island. Others think that the statues were made to show the power of the chiefs who ruled the island. We can't know for sure because the people who made the statues didn't write things down.

Today, we can visit Easter Island and see the statues for ourselves. It's really cool! We can learn about the history of the people who lived on the island a long time ago and we can see how they made the statues. It's amazing how much they were able to accomplish without using machines like we do today!"
