Well, the most expensive sports equipment ever sold is actually a pair of shoes. They're called the "Moon Shoe" and they were sold for over $437,000! The shoes were designed by Nike way back in 1972 for the Olympic Trials, and only 12 pairs were ever made.

So who bought these super expensive shoes? A man named Miles Nadal, who is a big collector of rare and expensive sneakers. He paid millions of dollars for a huge collection of rare shoes, and the Moon Shoe was just one of them.

It's pretty amazing to think that something as simple as a pair of shoes can sell for so much money, but that's just how valuable some things can be to collectors. I hope someday I can find something really valuable too!
