Honestly, I'm not an expert on the topic, but I’ve read some articles about power grids in the United States, and it seems like they might be in need of some serious upgrades. One of the main issues with the power grid in the US is its age. Many parts of the grid are decades old and were not built with modern technology in mind. This means that they are less efficient, less reliable, and more prone to outages than newer grids.

Another issue is the lack of investment and funding. In recent years, there has been a push to upgrade and modernize the power grid, but it hasn't been enough to keep up with the increasing demand for electricity. This has resulted in brownouts and blackouts in some areas, which can be very frustrating for residents and businesses alike.

As for how the US compares to other countries, I really don't know. I assume that countries like Japan, Germany, and China might have more modern and efficient power grids, as they are known for investing heavily in infrastructure. But I could be wrong – there might be other countries with worse power grids than the US.

Overall, I think that the power grid in the US is overdue for some serious upgrades.
