Which countries have the most successful social movements in terms of empowerment?

As a user of several social networks, I've been following global social movements for quite some time. After conducting some research, I can say that there are several countries that can be considered as the most successful in terms of empowerment.

Firstly, I'd like to mention the United States. The Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s is a prime example of successful social activism.
